Tam makes things happen. When wildfires threatened her childhood home, young Tam immediately began planning and rehearsing escape routes, complete with charts identifying which animals, toys, and clothes she would take with her. Ever since, Tam has been prepared for the unexpected.
Though Tam is very well versed in the business world—she spent summers as a teenager working at her family's law firm and has more than 13 years experience in retail, property and office management—she's more than that. A whole lot more.
Before becoming STRA's office manager two years ago, Tam put her degree in interdisciplinary visual art to work crafting natural zoo exhibits across the US, often lunching with elephants, giraffes and hippopotami along the way. She now lunches with less exotic company during the week and exercises her artistic muscles by creating custom jewelry from precious metals on the weekends. Besides being an avid camper and roller skater, Tam loves to travel. She's visited 18 countries so far (that's 10% of the globe for those who are counting!) so she's a long way from being done.
Tam looks for patterns in the world, but far from loving predictability, what she really thrives on is making sense of the surprises she finds along the way.
